Kathryn, is there more then the parents of Conrad Adam in the info received from Gerhard Adam? Since I know Gerhard and am a Great-grandchild of Conrad thru Emma Adam Herms (wife of Christian Herms), I would be most interested in how Gerhard fits into the family tree or how he is related to Conrad. I am tracing the Herms and Adam trees for our family and also the Haas family as my Mom was Hertha Haas Herms married to Herbert A. Herms. Mom died in a tragic car accident 10/1/1961 caused by another driver who was drunk. Dad died in old age. My only sibling was my brother Alfred Max Herms who died in a helicopter crash in the Berlin Wall Crises when he was a 1st Lt. U.S.Army helicopter pilot. 2 helicopters had been shot down and the President said the next one that gets shot down, we declare war on Germany. About the same time, my bro’s ‘copter went down. No war was declared, thank God, but all that is in his record is “pending further investigation”…and years later that is still all I got from the Gov’t. Hopefully, that prevented a War.

The chart goes back to Johann Martin Adam born in 1634. Gerhard is not listed on this chart but I think this is the right connection.
Johann Friedrich Adam (1745-1800) and Johanna Katharina Lorentz had eleven children.
Conrad is descended from the 8th child Johann Georg Adam (1785-1807). Gerhard is descended from the 11th child Johann Heinrich Adam (1793-1850).

Johann Friedrich Adam-Johann Georg Adam- Wilhelm Christian Adam- Conrad Adam

Johann Heinrich Adam- Johannes Adam-Hermann Emil Adam-Friedrich Albert Emil Max Adam-Gerhard Hermann Adam
